Setup & Scoring Rules
Everything in this app is driven by these settings.
1. Review period & structure
Department units & people
Add as many department units as you need. Each unit has one department leader plus any number of managers and employees whose scorecards cascade into that unit's score.
2. How self-rating and manager rating combine
Applies to every employee and to the manager's own goals. If the employee says 4.5 and the manager says 3.5, the combined score is the weighted blend of the two.
Total 100% — OK
3. Manager scorecard split
Total 100% — OK
4. Weighting of each employee in the active department score
Weights are normalised, so the department score is correct even if the total is not exactly 100%.
Total 100.0%
5. Rating scale (1 – 5)
| 5 | Outstanding | Significantly exceeds target; role-model performance |
| 4 | Exceeds expectation | Ahead of plan; consistently above target |
| 3 | Meets expectation | On track / target achieved |
| 2 | Below expectation | Behind plan; recovery plan needed |
| 1 | Well below expectation | No meaningful progress; intervention required |
